Cyclops’ Rotation

Neven Tudić’s Cyclops’ Rotation is a thought-provoking series of original artworks that explore how we perceive and understand the world around us. Each piece, measuring 100 cm × 75 cm, uses a mix of materials such as plastic film, fabric, and wool. The central figure, a Cyclops, moves in a continuous rotation, symbolizing the process of thought and perception that constantly shifts and evolves. The artwork shows how we label and define everything we see, but Tudić’s Cyclops looks beyond this, focusing on what is often overlooked or deemed useless.

The series challenges the way we form ideas and make sense of things. The Cyclops represents a mental journey that moves beyond egocentric thinking and subjective views, encouraging us to reflect on the origins of thought and how it shapes our reality. It’s a meditation on the idea that understanding comes from an ongoing process of self-examination and reflection.

About this series

In “Cyclops’ Rotation”, Tudić invites us to rethink how we categorize and interpret the world. The continuous rotation of the Cyclops, combined with the use of materials that engage both the senses and the mind, reflects the never-ending cycle of thought. This series encourages viewers to consider how our understanding of the world is built on the constant interplay of perception, thought, and action.
